Essential oils
How are Essential oils at Natalchemy differant than other stores?
There are many stores on the internet that sell essential oils. Natalchemy is not a major essential oils retailer. We are a specialty outlet. We look for the unique special lots of essential oils that have special properties and Premium Reserve Essential oils. These are the oils that will never be sold thru high volume outlets since these oils only exist in small quanities. The essential oils we sell are the essential oils we use in our products. If the oils is not good enough for our products we dont purchase it.
We make these hard to find oils available to people who desire to make their own aromatherapy blends.
What are Essential oils?
Essential oils are generally defined as the volatile liquids obtained by steam distillation, hydrodistillation, or hydrodiffusion of aromatic plants. Historically, cold-pressed citrus oils are also considered to be essential oils even though they are not distilled. Steam distillation involves using vaporized water to "lift" the organic volatile molecules from the plant material. The aromatic oil contained in the plants has a much higher boiling point than water, but since water and most organic molecules are immiscible, their vapor pressures have an additive effect, allowing the essential oil to vaporize at a lower temperature than it would on its own.
Quality and purity standards
All Essential oils Natalchemy uses are GC/MS analyzed for quality and purity. All oils must meet strict odor and analytical requirements. Natalchemy also follows strict batch control proceedures to ensure the essential oils are fresh and are stored properly. All our essential oils are stored in temperature controlled rooms, and are in sealed containers to protect them. All of our essential oils have a Best if used by date. This ensure that the oils you recieve are fresh.
Please read our label carefully because it provides all the important information about the oils including botanical name, part of plant used, method of isolation, country of origin and chemical class of the oil (monoterpene, sesquiterpene, monoterpenol, sesquiterpenol, aldehyde, ketone, ester, etc.).

Absolutes are solvent extracted products. They produced by a multi-step process which involves first extracting the flower (or other biomass) with a non-polar solvent such as hexane. After the hexane is evaporated a waxy product left is the CONCRETE.
|
CO2 Extract - Uses CO2 as solvent
CO2 Selects - less of the heavier waxy materials are extracted.
CO2 Totals - heavier molecules and plant waxes are included in the extraction

These Essential oil blends are 100% natural. Our blends do not contain any carrier oils. They are concentrated blends of essential oils, CO2 extracts, absolutes, and natural issolates.
